Paul James is an award-winning advertising professional with 18+ years of experience in intergrated ad campaigns that target the urban/multi-cultural client. As a research-driven conceptualist who understands the importance of pushing the limits of strategy, he believes that it’s not the answers known but the questions asked that reveal the deeper truths. He delves deeper to the heart of a brand in order to free it from the predictable while always staying on strategy.

A multi-disciplinary (copywriting and art direction) creative, he is first and foremost a conceptualist. As one of the lead creatives on the Lincoln brand at The Uniworld Group, his creative concepts successfully increased agency revenues over a four-year span. By creating, presenting and producing stronger, more focused executions (including Lincoln's first urban-targeted web initiative,) he helped bring a level of success on the account that is as yet, still unmatched for the agency.

As Creative Director AD/CW at GLU, a small startup boutique shop, he wrote and art directed a Mtn Dew spot featuring Lil Wayne. This became the cornerstone for an entire GM campaign focused around skateboarding and the skateboarding community.

As ACD/CW at Spike/DDB, he was creative lead on several assignments including a unique outreach campaign for the NYPD, which was praised throughout the upper echelons of the Police department.

With excellent presentation skills, a strategic mind, and a discerning sensibility along with a personable, inquisitive demeanor, he is a powerful asset to any creative assignment or position.
